Creativity In Culture: What Inspires Us Now

Inspiration can come from anywhere: the relief of cool breeze on a humid day, a haunting couplet that sticks with you forever, or a desperate Google Image search for “inspiring quotes.” We’ve asked Superhumans about what they’re connecting with in their lives today that’s sparking inspiration and creativity.

“We’ve had a couple stormy nights recently, and my wife and I decided to cozy up the atmosphere and read a book out loud together. It’s an activity that’s almost too obvious to actually ever do, but it’s always rewarding. With friends or loved ones, try it out. It’s magical.”

MICAH MACKERT
ASSOCIATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

“Katie from Cry Baby Clay- it’s been fun to play around with a new medium that I’ve never really gotten to do before and it’s challenging but fun.”

KAIT KRUEGER
PROJECT MANAGER

“I’ve been a Poshmark fan for a long time, and it’s been fascinating to experience their release roadmap throughout COVID. This doesn’t apply to me (and is wonderfully segmented in their experience!) but I particularly appreciate all of the tools for users who have turned resale into a small business.”

OLIVIA LUTERBACH
DIRECTOR, STRATEGY & COMMERCIAL

“Sandy’s work on 1E posters.”

WHITNEY BAUER
DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT

“Hitting the links” (golfing) with my “boyz” (friends).”

ALEC LINDSEY
ASSOCIATE DIGITAL DESIGN DIRECTOR

“Exposing myself as a massive nerd right now, but I play so much DND that (at times) it could almost be a part-time job. I’m very much inspired by my friends, our sessions, and our shared Pinterest boards and playlists.”

ALI DICKSON
JUNIOR COPYWRITER

“Better Call Saul has had my attention every Monday night. Very excited to see how the series will wrap up.”

ASHLEY ZIMIGA
SENIOR DESIGNER

“Watching other people learn new things and get inspired themselves is a wonderful source of inspiration. With so many curious people within our walls, Superhumans are a never ending source.”
