More music than you can bear

To celebrate 5 years of business, Barely Brothers Records teamed up with Superhuman for a cohesive brand update built around a series of hand-drawn illustrations and animations that were loosely inspired by 1970’s classic rock album jackets and psychedelic posters. The brand’s mascot evolved from one bear into two twin-bears to serve as a mnemonic for the pronunciation of the store’s name. Bear fur and fuzz textures were also utilized in the typography, line work, and patterns.

One Big Bear

Guests are greeted by a life-size cardboard bear holding a box of store-favorite vinyl when they arrive at the shop.
